We arrived home last night about 8:30 p.m., exhausted but happy to be back. Have had my fill of flying for a while. Brielle of course has been the center of attention, how could she not be.... Her natural beauty and charm is just captivating. Cyanna literally beamed from the time they picked me up, April had a permanent smile and quietly and patiently (as is her wonderful nature) waited her turn to hold her baby sister and love her and Kyler's charm and protectiveness was amazing to watch, the way Brielle reacted it to it is exactly how every little girl should feel about their big brother. Each of my kids has different strengths and gifts that seemed to draw Brielle to them. Of course Brielle soaked it all up. She didn't respond well to our pets, at all. So it will take time and patience to get her to realize that they will not hurt her. It's almost 6 a.m as I'm writing this and Brielle has slept really well, better than our night in Edmonton for which she cried most of the night. I am actually feeling overwhelmed and so I can't even imagine how she must feel.
I will be adding photos and in my next few posts I am going to share her adjustment to her new life and also talk a little about adoptions from Vietnam, what I saw, what the needs are, and government processes.
